I got this black paper sketch block not knowing what I was going to do with it. Turns out it’s perfect for sketching Freia.

It’s a bit strange reversing my whole sketching practices – leaving shadows alone and doubling up on light spots. The graphite looks like it’s emitting light of its own, creating a great deal of movement with very little effort. The mechanical pencil glides ever so pleasantly on the paper. The thin paint markers were also a good call.

10/10 would recommend.
