In my quest to find origami paper and felting materials, I may have stumbled upon some more things I’d like to try out… Well today, a giant case of alcohol-based markers arrived, and I immediately took to trying them out.

They’re… Testing my patience, to say the least. I keep treating them like pencils, but they’re nothing like pencils. It’s a completely different way of thinking about drawing and color.

Also, picking up new hobbies/art mediums is a bit of a pyramid scheme. Here I was thinking I can just get a set of markers and be on my merry way, but no, apparently they need a special kind of paper because on my current sketch book the colors bleed through and don’t blend like they should? Oof. But no, I think we’ll make do with what we have for now.

Anyway, here’s my attempt at a Luna. I might just go back for a second try, but maybe do some exercises first and plan it out better.
