Origami Cat
Today I set out to make an origami cat.
I have never done origami (save for a very crooked and very land-bound paper airplane some 25 years ago), but I figured “how hard can it be? It’s a piece of paper, and there’s a step-by-step tutorial!”
Well, it’s midnight, I’ve been at it off and on since 15:00 and I think sometimes the right thing to do is admit defeat. The cat ain’t catting, and if I fold this miserable square of paper one more time it will dissolve into dust in my hands. I don’t know what sort of voodoo this is, but apparently I am not cut out for it.

Ah well…
Failure is part of the creative process.
I may give it another crack tomorrow since this is personal now, but my head is folding in on itself, much like the paper in my hands simply wouldn’t.
At least I’ll have my lovely assistant tomorrow as well.
